India’s 80th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the premises at the Tiruppur Exporters’ Association (TEA).
TEA General Secretary Mr. N. Thirukkumaran stated that the signing of several FTAs would create new export opportunities for Tiruppur’s knitwear industry. Ongoing trade negotiations with the UAE, Oman, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia, along with the possibility of an India–US bilateral trade agreement, are expected to further expand market opportunities. He thanked TEA Honorary Chairman Padma Shri Dr. A. Sakthivel and President Mr. K. M. Subramanian for their continued efforts.
TEA President Mr. K. M. Subramanian hoisted the national flag and said that the expansion of free trade agreements would strengthen Tiruppur’s export prospects. He expressed pride in Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi highlighting Tiruppur’s industrial and export achievements and expressed confidence that the next decade would be a golden period for the sector, with AEPC supporting its growth.
TEA Joint Secretary Mr. M. Anand paid tribute to freedom fighters and armed forces personnel and highlighted Tiruppur’s role as a major hub of entrepreneurship and exports. He extended Independence Day greetings and gratitude to entrepreneurs, workers, migrant workers, and women contributing to Tiruppur’s industrial growth.
