TEA in collaboration with CII Tirupur District, organised a session on “Unlock the Power of Artificial Intelligence

The session began with a welcome address by Mr. S. Manoj Kumar, Chairman, CII Tirupur District.

Mr. N. Thirukkumaran, General Secretary, TEA mentioned that Artificial Intelligence (AI) can help address middle- and downstream-management issues, enhance employee learning and resolve the shortage of skilled workers through automation. He mentioned that TEA will continue to organise initiatives to support the industry in adopting new technologies.

Mr. Kumar Duraiswamy, Joint Secretary, TEA shared that Tirupur has conducted business worth ₹70,000 crores over the past 50 years by leveraging natural skills. As the city is poised for further growth over the next 25 years, he emphasised that AI will be crucial in improving and expanding business operations. He also highlighted trade deals with the UK and ongoing discussions on the BTA agreement with the US and the FTA with the EU, which are expected to be finalised by the end of the year potentially boosting Tirupur’s export growth.
