Tirupur Stakeholders Forum (TSF) relaunched in Tirupur

Tirupur Stakeholders Forum (TSF), comprising Tirupur Exporters’ Association (TEA), Brands, NGOs, Trade Unions, Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI), Labour Department & Department of Industrial Safety and Health (DISH), Government of Tamil Nadu and UN Women Wing has relaunched.
TSF will function to address any issues which emerge in the labour front and growth of Tirupur knitwear exports including sustainability.
Addressing the event, Padmashri. Dr. A. Sakthivel, Honorary Chairman, TEA appreciated the contribution being made by Trade Unions, NGOs, Labour Department and specifically complemented the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI), the UK based forum, for support in addressing labour issues as well as promotion of industry and growth of exports.
He further said nowhere in the globe have all stakeholders come under one forum to address issues and promote the business.
Shri. Peter McAllister, Executive Director, ETI said with collaborative approach the business can be growth and also address the other issues.
Shri. K.M. Subramanian, President, TEA, Shri. Rana Alok Singh, Regional Director, Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI), Shri. Ramakrishnan, Leader from LPF Union, Shri. A. Aloysius, Founder, SAVE NGO, Shri. V. Elangovan, Chairman-TSF & Vice President-TEA and Shri. Rajkumar Ramasamy, Vice President of TEA were present at the event and insisted for collective working for the growth of the Tirupur apparel industry.
Shri. T. Christuraj IAS, District Collector, Tirupur appreciated the efforts of TEA and said that combining of all stakeholders of industry will be highly beneficial for the growth of Tirupur.
