A meeting was held in our Mini Board Room on 12th September, 2024 with representatives of Ethical Trade Initiative (ETI). Mr. Rana Alok Singh, Regional Director – South Asia and Dr. R. Aruna, Advisor of ETI met our Vice President and Chairman of TSF Mr. V. Elangovan, our Treasurer Mr. R.Gopalakrishnan and our Joint Secretary Mr. Kumar Duraiswamy.

The objective of the meeting was to discuss on the progress made on the decision taken in the First TSF Summit and future course of action to be followed by Tirupur Stakeholders Forum (TSF).

Mr. Rana Alok Singh requested our Vice President to organise to send out a summary of the events of First TSF Summit to all participants the summit and all stakeholders of TSF. He also mentioned that modus Operandi for handling and obtaining long term solutions for the following major issues has to be chalked out.

* Migrant Labour Issues
* Grievance handling mechanism
* Gender based violence
* Psychological health fitness of workers

After discussions it was unanimously decided to hold a “HR Conclave” for the HR Managers of companies in the Tiruppur Cluster to give them awareness on the above crucial subjects.

The first conclave to be held after Diwali would be open for all members where in 400 to 500 persons are expected to participate. In the second, attempt a selected panel of HR Managers would be shortlisted and given an awareness/training for them who would inturn give the training to their subordinates in future.

Our Joint Secretary Mr. Kumar Duraiswamy informed the group that TSF website is live and running and assured that regular posting on sustainability would be done in the website.
