Mr. Kumar Duraiswamy, Joint Secretary, TEA, highlighted the importance of transition toward renewable energy production and the government’s initiatives to reduce electricity and fuel consumption. He suggested Tiruppur’s entrepreneurs can utilize these schemes and attain its benefits.

Mr. Shyam Sunder, Director, Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), Ministry of Power, outlined the Union Government’s ₹1,000 crore scheme for 2025–2028. Key features include: 

Interest subvention: 5% for micro and small, 3% for medium industries on bank loans for energy-efficient technology.

Loan eligibility: ₹10 lakh to ₹15 crore per project.

Energy audit support: Reimbursement up to ₹1 lakh for energy audits and project reports.
