A Free Medical Checkup Camp for the workers of Esstee Exports Unit II was jointly organized by the Women Empowerment Sub-Committee of TEA and the Rotary Club of Tirupur Smart City, with the support of Revathi Medical Centre, Tirupur Chest Hospital and The Eye Foundation, Tirupur, on 03 March 2026 at Esstee Exports Unit II, Tirupur. The objective of the camp was to check blood pressure and diabetes levels, identify heart-related and lung-related issues, eye checkup and prescribe medicines where required.

Mr. N. Thirukkumaran, Chairman, Esstee Exports India Pvt Ltd and General Secretary, TEA felicitated the dignitaries from the Women Empowerment Sub-Committee of TEA and the Rotary Club of Tirupur Smart City.
Rtn. PHF. M. Muthukumar, Project Chairman of the Rotary Club of Tirupur Smart City, in his address, appreciated Mr. N. Thirukkumaran, Chairman of Esstee Exports India Pvt. Ltd. and General Secretary of TEA, for his valuable initiatives during the COVID period and for inspiring all exporters to ensure the safety and well-being of their workers. He also noted that three buses have been arranged for the health camp, offering services such as echocardiogram for individuals with abnormal blood pressure and sugar level, Breath Easy treatment for lung problems and eye care services. He concluded his address by expressing his happiness in organizing the camp at Esstee Exports.
Rtn. MPHF. K. Ganeshamoorthi, Assistant Governor of the Rotary Club of Tirupur Smart City, emphasized that early detection of health issues makes treatment easier, while delays can lead to higher costs and complications. This initiative aims to identify and treat diabetes, blood pressure and lung & heart-related problems at low or no cost at the workplace. He also highlighted the importance of breast cancer screening and it can be cured if detected early and screening is being conducted at many factories to help women benefit from timely testing.
Mr. N. Thirukkumaran, Chairman of Esstee Exports India Pvt. Ltd. and General Secretary of TEA, appreciated the Rotary Club of Tirupur Smart City and the Women Empowerment Sub-Committee of TEA for organizing this medical camp. He encouraged workers to make use of this medical camp and also noted the facilities available at ESI hospital. He thanked the hospitals for their support in this joint initiative and emphasized that prevention is better than cure.
Rtn. PHF. S. Hemant Jain, Secretary of the Rotary Club of Tirupur Smart City, thanked Revathi medical centre team, The Eye foundation team and Tirupur Chest Hospital team for their support in organizing medical camps across all units. He stated that such initiatives would be very difficult without their coordination and cooperation.
Mrs. Sumita Ravi, Special Invitee of TEA and Member of the Women Empowerment Sub-Committee, TEA, shared her insights about the importance of women’s physical health. She urged all participants not to neglect regular checkup and to take advantage of the camp by checking their blood sugar and blood pressure. She concluded by saying that taking care of one’s health is the foremost duty.
Mrs. Shrutika Sethu Madhavan, Chairman, Women Empowerment Sub-Committee, TEA delivered the Vote of Thanks and appreciated the contributions of all participants, speakers, and organizers.
Over 60 workers of Esstee Exports Unit II attended the camp.
