Mr. E. Velusamy, Managing Director, Nikkans Textiles, felicitated the dignitaries from the Women Empowerment Sub-Committee of TEA, the Rotary Club of Tirupur Smart City, and the doctors from Revathi Medical Centre and The Eye Foundation.
Rtn. AKS. P. Arulselvam, President, Rotary Club of Tirupur Smart City in his address, thanked the Rotary Club of Gandhinagar for initiating the Community Heart Care Bus. He also spoke about the future initiatives of the Rotary Club of Tirupur Smart City, including a Lung Health Screening Bus worth Rs. 80 lakhs, which is being prepared to serve people suffering from lung-related illnesses such as asthma, and a Cancer Screening Bus being prepared for people with advanced stages of cancer. He concluded his address by appreciating Rtn. PHF. M. Muthukumar, Project Chairman, Rotary Club of Tirupur Smart City, for his continuous efforts in ongoing and upcoming projects.
Rtn. PHF. M. Muthukumar, Project Chairman, Rotary Club of Tirupur Smart City in his address, noted that workers rarely get regular health checkup and our initiative aims to detect and treat diabetes, blood pressure, and heart problems.
Mrs. Sumita Ravi, Special Invitee of TEA and Member of the Women Empowerment Sub-Committee, TEA, shared her insights about the importance of women’s physical health. She urged all participants not to neglect regular checkup and to take advantage of the camp by checking their blood sugar and blood pressure. She concluded by saying that taking care of one’s health is the foremost duty.
