Mr. Kumar Duraisamy, Joint Secretary of TEA, highlighted the importance of the “Zero Defect Zero Effect (ZED)” initiative promoted by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. He mentioned that ZED will help reduce India’s rejection percentage compared to competitors like Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Vietnam, through better waste management and carbon emissions reduction. The ZED awareness program is crucial in achieving these goals and promoting sustainable manufacturing in Tiruppur.
Mr. Karthigaivasan, General Manager, DIC explained the government subsidies for MSMEs and the benefits of ZED, urging industries to take advantage of available schemes, He also briefed about the schemes like New Entrepreneur -cum- Enterprise Development Scheme (NEEDS), Annal Ambedkar Business Champions Scheme (AABCS), Kalaignar Handicraft Scheme, Unemployed Youth Employment Generation Programme (UYEGP), Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and many others.
Ms. Pavithra, Business Development Executive, RSJ Inspection, elaborated on RSJ Scheme, RAMP Scheme, ZED Scheme, MSMEs certification levels and its benefits, application process, basic information and document upload, financial assistance and technical support to MSMEs. Mr. Tariq, Assistant Director, DIC suggested participants to utilize this session effectively as such events help in taking MSME business productivity to another level.
