Thiru. V. Elangovan, Chairman, TSF mentioned that 35% of the 70 crore women in India are working and they contribute about 17% to the national GDP.
Thiru. K.M. Subramanian, President, TEA emphasized in recent times women’s leadership across various industries has been increased. Through women Empowerment Sub Committee TEA will organise lot of initiative for the development of women leadership
Padma Shri Dr. A. Sakthivel, Honorary Chairman, TEA quoted that every day should be considered Women’s Day and praised women’s contributions to Tiruppur’s industrial growth, recalled the words of the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, who stated that ” the wishes of women will make a great leader.”
Dr. Sasithra Dhamodaran explained on the benefits of 5Fs for women: Family & Friendship, Food, Fitness & Figure, Feel and Futuristic Thought. Tmt. Shabeena B.A.B.L. highlighted the laws in India for women and mentioned that according to a UN survey, men and women will receive equal rights by the year 2158.
Dr. R. Aruna, Advisor of the Ethical Trading Initiative; Tmt. Nadhiya, Chairperson of AITUC; and Thiru. V. Venkatesh, Advocate & Legal Consultant, also shared their insights during the session. The event concluded with Chairperson Tmt. Sumitha Roshan expressing gratitude to all participants.
